(CWA) Bestow Honors Upon Construction's Leading Internet Portal

May 20, 2002 - McGraw-Hill Construction, part of The
McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP), today announced that construction.com
has received top honors from two prestigious industry organizations
this Spring. The Software and Information Industry Association
(SIIA) named construction.com the Best B2B Web site at its
annual Codie Awards ceremony. That was followed by the Construction
Writer's Association (CWA) honoring of construction.com with
this year's Journalism Web site award for excellence in editorial
content.
"Being honored from both a technology and content standpoint
re-affirms construction.com as the strongest and most reliable
source of construction information and applications on the
Internet. These two awards recognize the quality data and
tools construction.com provides construction stakeholders

Construction.com surpassed five other finalists to receive
the coveted SIIA Codie Award for Best B2B Web site. The Codie
Awards provide the only peer recognition program in the software
and information industry.
Construction.com was one of two Web sites to receive the
CWA Journalism Web site Award this year. Winners were recognized
for consistent efforts to provide valuable content, while
meeting high standards of journalism practice.
CWA noted that the site was, "Comprehensive, with highly
relevant news pages." Construction.com was also praised
for its coverage of September 11th, "the rebuilding/recovery
in New York and Washington was first rate."
