Record Unveils Customer Focused Magazine Redesign
NEW YORK -- June
4, 2003 -- Engineering News-Record (ENR), published
by McGraw-Hill Construction, part of The McGraw-Hill Companies
(NYSE:MHP), has unveiled its exciting redesign with its June
9, 2003 issue. The redesign incorporates the graphic preferences
of its readers and advertisers.
ENR's reinvigorated look includes improvements
in navigation, use of bolder and more vibrant graphics and
font changes for easier reading. Readers will experience newly
designed editorial pages, an easy-to-use table of contents,
better use of charts and graphs and a fresh new cover.
ENR has stayed up to speed with contemporary
publication design trends throughout its history. "We're
excited about this milestone for ENR," stated Janice
Tuchman, editor-in-chief. "The new design is more appealing
to today's busy reader and will enable faster access to the
stories of interest."
"I congratulate the staff of ENR
for continuing to raise the bar in delivering excellence to
our readers," said James H. McGraw, IV, McGraw-Hill Construction
group publisher. "The redesign adds to the overall quality
of the magazine, which continues to be the industry standard."
ENR has been covering the people,
projects and products that make a difference in the construction
industry since 1874. Its staff, which includes many award
winning journalists, report on the news and analyze trends
to help construction industry professionals - including owners,
engineers and contractors - to stay informed and make key
decisions.
