McGraw-Hill Construction’s Outlook 2008 Executive Conference to Take Place October 25 in Washington, DC

Presenting: 2008 Construction Industry Forecast and Key Trends Keynote Address by MSNBC’s Tucker Carlson on 2008 Political Landscape

New York, NY – October 18, 2007 – McGraw-Hill Construction, part of The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP), will host the 69th annual Construction Industry Outlook Executive Conference on Thursday, October 25th, at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC. 

The Conference will bring together more than 400 industry leaders from all parts of the construction industry, including firms involved in building product manufacturing, architecture and design, contracting, engineering, industry associations and other industry professionals. 

The Conference will close with the 2008 Construction Industry Outlook, a mainstay of business planning for construction and manufacturing industry executives, presented by Robert A. Murray, Vice President, Economic Affairs, McGraw-Hill Construction. Mr. Murray will address:

  • The National and Regional Forecast for key industry sectors, including:

    • Commercial Buildings

At last year’s Outlook Conference, McGraw-Hill Construction forecast the first decline in overall construction spending since 1991.

Key industry trends as well as the impact that U.S. and global economic forces will have on the construction industry in 2008 will be discussed in detail during the Conference, with attendees invited to ask questions of Mr. Murray and the full line-up of esteemed speakers.

Commentator Tucker Carlson, host of MSNBC’s Tucker program, which analyzes the day’s events with a unique perspective and insightful interviews, will present the keynote address at noon on Thursday, October 25th.
