Spider prepares for New Orleans' reconstruction
Spider, a division of SafeWorks LLC, has deployed an emergency response plan to supply resources and personnel to customers in need of access and safety products in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Spider provides powered access and safety solutions for the construction, restoration and maintenance industries and is anticipating high demand as reconstruction efforts begin. Spider is planning for this by relocating products and personnel to areas where they will be most needed.

Spider's New Orleans Operation Center sustained minimal physical damage to the building and inventory, but due to local restrictions and power concerns, there will be limited shipping and service from that facility. Most equipment will be serviced and shipped from Spider's Houston Operation Center.

All calls to the Spider New Orleans Operation Center at 504-733-3966 are automatically re-routed to Houston where customer concerns and needs will be addressed.

Lifting Gear reports little damage
Lifting Gear Hire is pleased to report that there has been little to no damage to the building and inventory of their new distribution center, recently opened in July. The distribution center is located in the Jefferson Parish area of New Orleans, one of the many parishes that face evacuations of at least a one-month duration.

While news reports indicate that the majority of the flooding in the parish has been drained, residents with an ID were permitted to return Monday 9/6/2005 but urged to gather belongings and leave.

Electrical and sewerage capabilities are still ceased, and parish officials predict that "it will be weeks before Jefferson Parish is livable."

Lifting Gear Hire Corporation stocks over 80,000 pieces of lifting equipment available for rental through its worldwide locations, which encompass The United States, UK, Holland, and Germany. In addition to the new New Orleans location, Lifting Gear Hire operates U.S. distribution facilities in Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Texas and Washington.

We can also order material for other contractors it the areas we are working around, to help speed up the rebuilding process. I am the third generation owner/operator and a Wisconsin state certified master electrician (I will also obtain a license in the areas, we are needed.)

My company is insured and will give several references if required. Also, we are a current contractor in the Local 494 IBEW here in Milwaukee, also a part of BBB, NFIB, NECA and IAEI. Furthermore, we are very interested/excited for having the chance to help rebuild the Louisiana/Mississippi areas. And any assistance you can give us to help you will be greatly appreciated. A list of work we can handle, our business plan that we put together in our last company meeting, references, insurance and license numbers will be available upon request. We just need to get in contact with someone in order for us to pack up and come down. We are looking forward to talking with you soon.
