New
Orleans Area Flood Protection After Katrina:
Looking
Ahead
A group of engineering professionals and scientists
sat down with ENR and Architectural Record editors to discuss
the expanding need for protection from floods and hurricanes
in southern Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. What could be a

a proposal called Coast 2050, is now being considered by Congress
as part of a new water resources bill.
Listen to the debate about how the aftermath
of Hurricane Katrina could accelerate long-stalled flood control
projects and even change longstanding national policy.
