PPG Industries has introduced Solarphire PV glass, a product designed to maximize solar energy transmission for photovoltaic modules. RafterDeTTails are all-wood, kiln-dried, laminated non-structural, decorative rafter tails that are designed to slide onto the cantilevered end of a roof truss. This eliminates the need for running the corbelled member back past the wall into the roof / truss space as is commonly done with conventional solid sawn rafter tails. The RafterDeTTail is then fastened (nails or wood screws) to the truss chord.
