John Murphy is vice president of finance for McGraw Hill Construction, where he leads MHC’s finance and order administration group in providing business intelligence and financial support to the various business functions within McGraw Hill Construction.

John joined McGraw Hill Financial in 2006 as controller for McGraw Hill Construction. In that role, he streamlined and automated the reporting process, as well as led the consolidation of the financials for the various business units within McGraw Hill Construction.

Prior to joining McGraw Hill Financial, John was the regional controller Americas for Lionbridge, with responsibility for all financial operations in the US, Canada, Brazil and Chile.

John has extensive knowledge in US GAAP and international accounting standards and has been a qualified CPA for over 10 years. He is a qualified CPA and Fellow of the Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland.

John is a CPA award winner, finishing first in Ireland’s financial accounting final examinations.
