BusinessWeek and Architectural Record will honor building and planning projects that are reshaping modern China at the second biannual “Good Design Is Good Business” China Awards at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center on May 23, 2008. A jury of editors has selected 13 projects, as well as this year’s “Best Client”. Winning architects and client representatives will co-present their projects, and engage in panel discussions led by Architectural Record editors. Audience will have a rare opportunity to have face-to-face dialogues with the movers and shakers in china’s real estate market, and the country’s most renowned architects and rising stars.

A successful project is one where good design and measurable results come together. Since 1997, the Good Design Is Good Business Awards have honored architects and clients around the world who bet utilize design to achieve strategic business and civic objectives. In 2005/2006, this award first came to China. 16 winners were selected from hundreds of submissions for seven categories.
