Building the Infrastructure for China's Next Century of Air Travel

May 14-15, 2007
Hyatt Regency, Xi'an, China

Since 1990, China has experienced a boom in airport construction. Forty-seven new airports have been built while 90 airports were upgraded or expanded. China plans to spend another RMB140 billion on airport construction during the next five years. That will bring the number of airports to 186. Airport operations will also be modernized by adopting advanced technology and good management practices.

The 2007 China Airport Construction Summit will focus on the transformation of China's airport infrastructure in the next 20 years. Attendees will discuss strategies and practices on building secure, sustainable, modern airports. Industry leaders from China and around the world will share their best practices on designing and developing small to medium size airports.

Endorsed by CAAC and co-organized by McGraw-Hill Construction, the leading information provider in the global construction industry, China Civil Airport Association, the only industry association representing airport operators across China approved by CAAC, and International Aviation Group, the largest professional magazine publisher in China for the aviation & aerospace industries, the conference will leverage both parties' extensive industry connections, and rich experiences in delivering executive level events in China. The Summit, supported by Aviation Week, ENR and Construction Times, is expected to attract 200 industry executives, including airport owners, airport management companies and service/technology providers, architects, engineers, contractors, financiers and industry policy makers from China and around the world .
