The 2007 China Airport Construction Summit was kicked off May 15, 2007 in Xi’an, China’s ancient capital city and an aviation industry hub in the country’s heartland. This summit is the first airport-focused event staged by McGraw-Hill Construction in China in partnership with International Aviation Group, the largest professional magazine publisher in China for the aviation & aerospace industries, and China Civil Airport Association, the only industry association representing airport operators across China approved by CAAC.
At the Summit, Mr. Wang Zhiqing, Deputy Director-General of CAAC’s Planning & Development Department made a keynote speech on the transformation of China’s airport infrastructure. And 16 distinguished speakers from all around the world joined the panel discussions and had:

Around 120 attendees joined the event, including 40 top exectives from 17 local airport operators (e.g., Beijing Capital Airport, Chengdu Shuangliu Int’l Airport, Jilin Province Airports Group, Shenzhen Airport, etc.) and another 1/3 from some 20 international companies (e.g., United Technologies, ECI-Metro, PPG, HOK, Oracle, etc.). The General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC), the top regulator of China’s aviation and airport industry, China Civil Airport Construction Corporation, the country’s largest airport builder, together with 7 other airport contractors/designers also send representatives to the conference.
