Infrastructure Action: What the U.S. Needs to Do Now
The bridge collapse in Minneapolis is the latest wake-up call drawing attention to our country's aging infrastructure. How many more symptoms of this pervasive condition can we afford? A string of collapses, explosions, power outages, water shortages and rail and aviation misadventures make it blindingly, and sometimes fatally clear that our infrastructure programs are sorely lacking. Is it possible to do a better job of determining what needs to be done? What investments are critical? What solutions are available and can they be implemented in a responsible way? What impact is deteriorating infrastructure having on the business bottom line and on the countryıs economic competitiveness? Experts from key areas (aviation, bridges and highways, flood control, power, water supply and business) will brainstorm with ENR editors about how to prioritize what is critical to build or Rebuild.

Panel: Using BIM to Achieve Competitive Advantage
The session will feature owners, architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators and specialty contractors who have seen enough profit from their use of Building Information Modeling that they are committing to using BIM on every project they can. Some critics say they are getting carried away by flashy visuals and glitzy technology, but they say they are committing to BIM because they see it as a strategy for achieving competitive advantage and greater efficiency.
