The tour will be led by Duane Gapinski, who was an ENR newsmaker when he was in charge of the dewatering of New Orleans for the Corps of Engineers. He is now eastern region deputy director for federal programs at HDR. He will lead you on a tour through New Orleans, which will also explain how the city's problems have led to a work force shortage and how the crisis is being mitigated.

This session will review the results of CURT's workforce white paper and the white paper, "Ideas for Action", that came out of the Mcgraw-Hill Construction and ENR work force think tank held last fall.

A panel of professionals from different sectors of the industry will discuss experiences they have had with worker shortages around the country, including the Gulf Coast. This panel will set the stage for exploring specific solutions to the crisis.
