Global Construction Summit

Building upon the successes of the 2004 and 2006 Global Construction Summit, McGraw-Hill Construction and the China International Contractors Association are teaming up once again to host the 2008 Summit in Beijing, China, exactly four months before the world witnesses China as host to its first Olympic Games.

The 2008 Global Construction Summit, “Building Alliances for Mutual Success”, will continue to bring together the top industry leaders from China and abroad to discuss key industry issues, explore opportunities in the hottest markets in the world, and share best practices. Our speakers will engage in a dialogue around

key topics, including:

  • What are the smartest strategies for growth?
  • What are the key trends of sustainable development?
  • How does one build local partnerships in international markets?
  • How to nurture and develop global talent?
  • What are the key design and technology innovations?

… and many others.

This year, we are adding new breakouts to explore significant potential in hot markets such as the Mid East, India/Southeast Asia, and the U.S., the world’s number one construction market. The program will also feature live interviews with CEO’s and COOs from some of the industry’s top firms, before concluding with the ENR Top International Firms Awards Ceremony.

As in past years, we are expecting more than 450 senior executives—one-third from overseas -- from both the private and public sectors, including owners, developers,, architects, engineers, contractors, building product manufacturers, technology firms, as well as insurance, financial, and legal professionals. The Year 2008 also marks the 20th anniversary of our partner, China International Contractors Association. A large reception will take place as part of the program, providing an even greater opportunity for our guests to network with the key government and industry leaders in China.

Sponsorship slots were SOLD OUT at both past Summits. If you are interested in building your brand and extending your industry network through this great platform, please act fast.  The organizers are also highly interested in receiving additional speaker recommendations.  For any inquiries or suggestions, please email Amy Qian, China Event Manager at ming_qian@mcgraw-hill.com.

We look forward to your participation!
