Building Information Modeling: The Future of Construction

NYC Metro BIM, a buildingSMARTalliance interest group, in collaboration with New York Construction/ENR Magazine invite you to a industry event where Skanska and Turner Construction Company make a presentation on their use and experience with Building Information Technology (BIM) in the making of the New Meadowlands Stadium (Skanska) and Yankee Stadium (Turner).

These companies will meet in a side-by-side interactive format organized by project milestones that will give the audience an insider’s view of BIM implementation in a similar but different context. The event will illustrate the standards, hardware, software and project organization, relations and contracts between Client, Architects, Engineers, and Sub-Contractors who will be in the audience as these company’s engage in a dialogue of information exchange.

This event will allow us in the design and construction industry to better understand how to implement this information technology that is quickly becoming a project requirement and transforming our industry to make it more efficient and less wasteful.
