Identify Competitors or Key Prospects

The Network’s Company Search page gives you a wide range of options to make the right connections to people, projects and products.  Along with the ability to search for the type of companies you want to target (e.g. Owner, Architect, General Contractors, etc.), you can also search against specific project or product attributes.  In the following step-by-step example, we will quickly create a targeted prospect list of Architects working in the San Francisco area who design environmentally sustainable buildings.

Creating a Company Search

Log onto your Network service and click the blue Companies tab.

    Enter the Company Geography

After selecting a state, use the Load Counties button to populate the counties dropdown.

    Click the blue Add button

    * Select the Company Type.

Adding in Project Attributes

Click the Cross search button at the bottom of the Company Search page to show Project Search options.

Click the Choose your project attributes radio button.

To identify environmentally sustainable construction projects, add a Keyword search for two phrases, ‘leed+intended leed+registered’

Select ‘Any Words’ from the Search using drop-down.  (‘Any Words’ will retrieve any report that contains either phrase).

Select a publication date for the projects,  The system default is ‘Last Month’.  To include a larger sample of reports meeting our project criteria, we will expand the publication date to ‘Last Year’.

    Click the Search button.

Targeted Prospect List

Congratulations! You’ve just created a targeted list of prospects.  The Company Search Results page now displays a summary of Architects working in the San Francisco area who design environmentally sustainable buildings.

The list is sorted in descending order by the total count of projects for each company.

To view all the projects a particular company appears on, click the Projects link.

To limit the company’s list of reports to only view the reports with the project criteria you selected, pick Project Criteria from the Show dropdown (  ).

Viewing Reports Meeting your Project Criteria

To view the details a project meeting your criteria, click the Report link.

Each report will match both your company criteria and your project criteria: Reports published during the past year that contain Leed Registered or Leed Intended.
