Karen Cahill, Regional Manager - North Central

Residing out of Independence, Ohio Karen’s territory includes; Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

Karen has 26 direct reports, 14 of whom work in the field and 12 are based in the Editorial center located in Cincinnati Ohio. All field reporters are active in industry associations including the IA –IL – Chicago – KS – WI Chapters of AIA and several affiliations related to Society of Marketing Professionals and the American Contractors Association.

Karen is personally active in the Chicago Chapter of AIA and attends industry related events held within her geographic market. Karen and her reports sponsor several industry events each year including the Chicago Professional Development Conference hosted by the Chicago Chapter of AIA and the Design Awards event held by Chicago AIA as well. They attend and exhibit at all state AIA conferences.

Karen has 22 years of experience with McGraw Hill. She began her career as a News Manger located in Chicago in 1987. She was asked to transfer to Orange County CA shortly after, to assist in addressing competitive concerns, where she remained a news manger for eight years. She relocated to Cleveland and was promoted to the Regional Manager position in 1997.

Karen has led various product improvement teams throughout her tenure with McGraw – Hill Construction. Karen’s region has been named Region of the Year, and she has attended Achievement Clubs.

Karen received a Liberal Arts Degree from The Ohio State University along with a Master’s Degree in Business from Baldwin Wallace College.
