Venice Trip and Digital Camera Contest
RULES AND REGULATIONS
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES
OF WINNING.
TO ENTER: go to products.construction.com and fill in the drawing entry
form. One entry per person per day. There will be 1 Grand Prize trip
for 2 to the 2006 Venice Biennale event in Venice, Italy. Entries for
the Venice Biennale trip must be received after November 8, 2005 and
no later than July 14, 2006. The Venice Biennale Grand prize winner
will be selected on July 15, 2006. The Venice Biennale trip must be
taken between September 15, 2006 to November 30, 2006. Approx. retail
value of trip: $10,000.
Monthly drawings will be held for Sony Cybershot digital cameras. Entries
for the monthly camera drawings must be received after November 8, 2005
and no later than December 30, 2006. There will be 14 prizes awarded.
Camera drawings will take place on the 30th of each month beginning
November 8, 2005 and ending December 30, 2006. Approximate retail value
of prize: $350 per camera.
Total Award Retail value: $15,000. Employees of The McGraw-Hill Companies,
Inc. and their immediate family members and their advertising agencies
are not eligible. All federal, state and/or local regulations apply.
Void where prohibited by law. MCGH reserves the right to substitute
a prize of equal or comparable value if any prize becomes unavailable.

By entering the contest, you agree to these Official Rules.
1. TO ENTER: Starting at 9:00am on November 8, 2005, simply
complete the Contest Entry Form on this website: www.products.construction.com.
You may enter more than once, but you may not submit more than one (1)
entry per day per person. Entries for the Grand Prize trip to Venice,
Italy to attend the Venice Biennale event must be received after 9:00am
November 8, 2005 and no later than 1:00pm on July 14, 2006. Entries
for the Sony Digital Camera drawing may be submitted after 9:00am on
November 8, 2005 but no later than 1:00 pm on December 30, 2006 (the
"Contest Period"). All entries become the property of MCGH
and will not be acknowledged or returned. Any other attempted form of
entry is prohibited; no automatic, programmed; robotic or similar means
of entry are permitted.
In case of dispute as to the identity of any entrant, entry will be
declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address
submitted at time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is
defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an
Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization
(e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) responsible for assigning
email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.
Any potential winner may be requested to provide MCGH with proof that
such winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated
with the winning entry.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States
or the District of Columbia, 21 years of age or older.
3. SPONSOR: This contest is sponsored by McGraw-Hill Construction,
a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. ("MCGH").
4. PRIZES: 1 Grand Prize: Venice Biennale 2006 trip for two.
Trip includes round trip coach air transportation for winner and a guest
from major gateway airport closest to winner's residence to Venice,
Italy, hotel room based on double occupancy (single room) for four (4)
nights in Venice at a three star hotel, trip insurance, 2 tickets to
the 2006 Venice Biennale exhibit, and a half day architectural tour
of Venice. Approx. Retail value of Grand Prize: $10,000. Actual retail
value will depend on winner's place of residence. Does not include meals,
transfers, ground transportation, gratuities, travel upgrades, personal
incidentals or any other expenses not specifically listed herein. Travel
and accommodations subject to availability; certain restrictions and
blackout dates may apply. Grand Prize winner's guest must sign a release
before ticketing. Any traveler under 18 must be accompanied by a parent
or legal guardian as their companion. Grand Prize Winner and guest are
solely responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents (including
passports) prior to departure. Grand Prize trip must be taken between
September 15, 2006 and November 30, 2006. If Grand Prize winner cannot
travel on these specified dates, prize will be forfeited and the prize
may be awarded to an alternate. All travel must be completed by December
1, 2006.

Fourteen (14) First Prizes each consisting of a Sony Cyber-Shot Digital
Camera. Retail value: $350 each.
Total retail value of all prizes: $14,900
5. ODDS: The odds of winning will depend upon the number of
eligible entries received.
6. RANDOM DRAWING: Grand Prize Venice Biennale Trip: One entry
will be randomly selected in a drawing to be held on or about July 14,
2006 from among all eligible completed entries received by July 14,
2006. Fourteen (14) Sony Digital Camera drawings will be held on or
about the 30th of each month throughout the Contest Period. Camera drawings
will be cumulative and non-winners will be put into the next month's
drawing. The first camera drawing is November 30, 2005. The last drawing
will be December 30, 2006. Winners of the Sony Digital Camera who submit
entries prior to July 2006, will also be eligible for the Grand Prize
drawing. MCGH is not responsible for late, lost, illegible, technically
corrupted, garbled or misdirected entries and all entries become the
property of MCGH. Winners will be notified via e-mail and/or mail within
one week of the drawing. Winner, in order to be awarded the prize, will
be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility and release
within one week of notification or prize may be forfeited and an alternative
chosen
7. CONTACT & WINNER'S LIST: Each prize winner's name and
work affiliation will be displayed on the contest web site, www.products.construction
from November 8, 2005 to February 28th, 2007. For the names of the winners,
send a self-addressed, stamped envelope (no stamp required for residents
of VT or WA) after December 30, 2006, to: Deborah Smikle-Davis, Director
of Marketing Communications, McGraw-Hill Construction, 2 Penn Plaza,
9th floor, NY, NY 10121-2298. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission
for use of the winner's name and likeness for promotional purposes by
MCGH, without further compensation.
8. DISCLAIMERS: All federal, state, and/or local rules and regulations
apply. Void outside of the United States and where prohibited or restricted
by law. Winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes associated
with their acceptance and use of any prize. MCGH is not responsible
for technical, hardware, software, telephone or Internet access failures
of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed or incomplete,
garbled or deleted computer or network transmissions which may limit
the ability to participate in this contest. MCGH reserves the right
at its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this contest or any part
thereof should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other
causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, fairness
or proper conduct of this contest, including terminating just one phase
or portion of the promotion.
9. RESTRICTIONS/RELEASE: No more than one entry per person per
day. Prizes are not transferable, redeemable for cash or substitutable
for any other item by winners. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute
a comparable prize of equal or greater value for any prize, for any
reason. By entering this contest, the contestants, winners and travel
guest each release MCGH, it affiliates and employees, and all others
associated with the development and execution of this contest from and
against any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising
from, the contest and the awarding and use of the prizes, including
liability for personal injury, death and/or property damage, or any
claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy
and merchandise delivery. Winners (and the Grand Prize winner's travel
companion) will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and
release.

use information collected on this entry form to forward material about

11. DISQUALIFICATION: In the event that the winner fails to
claim the prize within one week of notification, or fails to meet the
eligibility requirements of this contest, an alternate winner will be
selected at random.
12. DISPUTES: By entering, entrants accept and agree to be bound
by these official rules and the decisions of MCGH, which shall be final.
