Architectural Record and GreenSource Win Eight FOLIO: Eddie and Ozzie Awards
New York, NY – November 3, 2011

McGraw-Hill Construction’s Architectural Record and GreenSource magazines have received eight FOLIO: Eddie and Ozzie Awards for best issue, best article, best website, best cover, best feature design and best use of illustration among business-to-business (B-to-B) publications.  FOLIO:’s annual Eddie and Ozzie Awards recognize excellence in magazine editorial content and design, selected from nearly 2,000 entries across 100 categories.

“The Eddie and Ozzie Awards represent the B-to-B publishing industry’s best imaginative and innovative work in print and online,” said Cathleen McGuigan, editor-in-chief, Architectural Record and editorial director, GreenSource.  “At McGraw-Hill Construction, we want to provide our customers with the latest news, sharpest insights and best designs through our editorial and creative work.  These awards are an honor, and illustrate our collective success as a winning team.”

Architectural Record won three Ozzie awards for “Best Cover Design, B-to-B under 100,000 Circulation,” including a gold award for its May 2011 “Jacob + McFarlane in Lyon” cover, and silver and bronze awards for the August 2010 “Sand Castles” cover and the “South Africa’s Super Bowls” cover in July 2010.  A silver Ozzie Award for “Best Feature Design, B-to-B under 100,000 Circulation” went to “Ahmed Baba Institute Library” in the March 2011 issue; and two silver Eddie Awards, one for its full issue in April 2011 in the “B-to-B, Construction/Commercial Design/Manufacturing” category, and another for its B-to-B website,, rounded out its awards.  Key to the profession for more than 110 years, Architectural Record and provide an editorial mix of design ideas and trends, building science, business and professional strategies, key issues, news projects, in-depth interviews, and computer-aided practice for architects and design professionals.

GreenSource received a silver Eddie Award for its September 2010 article, ‘Targeting Net-Zero,” in the B-to-B Construction/Commercial Design/Manufacturing, Single Issue” category. Its “Darkening Prospects” article received a bronze Ozzie award for “Best Use of Illustration, B-to-B under 100,000 Circulation.”  A mainstay in the green building market since 2006, GreenSource magazine and are produced by McGraw-Hill Construction and BuildingGreen, Inc., with support from the U.S. Green Building Council.  GreenSource is a leader in covering noteworthy trends and best practices in sustainable design.
