Browse

  • Search is a product specific approach. You have to know what you are looking for or at least know how it is spelled.

    For example: “galvanized steel door” or “Vinyl windows”, etc.

  • Browse is just a general look up, where you can find a list of all the companies and products that are in the database.

 

  • Here you can type what you are searching for, irrespective of any grammatical constraints.

  • Here you have the option to choose to browse through Company names, Trade names, Product terms & MasterFormat

  • You do not have to know the exact name of the company or product you are trying to search.

  • You have to know at least the beginning letter of the particular company, trade name, product term or CSI classification.

  • Here you can exclude certain items within your search results.

  • Here you cannot exclude items within your browse results.

  • You can filter you search results by using the drop down box located next to Filter by.

  • You cannot filter the results in browse because it gives you a guided navigation through the relevant hierarchy to the company and the product listings.
