Before any measurement tools in Vu360 can be used, the project document’s ‘scale’ must be set to ensure accurate results. To access scale settings, select ‘Scale’ located in the upper-right corner of the program.

Vu360 provides two methods for setting the scale: ‘Enter Scale* and *Calibrate Scale.’

‘Enter Scale’

This option is used when the project document specifies the exact scale. Select Enter Scale, input the required values, and confirm with OK.

‘Calibrate Scale’

This option is used when no scale is provided but the plans include at least one known, stated measurement. For best accuracy, zoom in closely on the measurement. Then select two points on the page that correspond to the stated distance. Click at the starting point, drag to the ending point, and release. A dialog box will appear prompting for the stated measurement value; enter the value to complete the calibration.

After either method is completed, the scale field will update automatically. Once the scale is set, all measurement tools in Vu360 will operate with full accuracy.

(Note: We highly recommend using the ‘Calibrate Scale’ option for the most accurate measurements. This helps prevent discrepancies, especially if the project document has been resized after a scale was originally applied)
