Vu360 provides a wide range of ‘tools’ designed to support complete markup and takeoff workflows, including ‘Length’, ‘Perimeter’, ‘Area’, ‘Volume’, ‘Freehand’, and ‘Count.’ These tools can be accessed from the icons located in the upper-left section of the screen, allowing quick navigation from one tool to the next.

Length

Access by selecting Length from the main toolbar. This tool measures the total distance between two points in linear feet, inches, yards, or metric units. Select the Length icon, click at the starting point, and release at the ending point to generate the measurement.

Perimeter

Access by selecting Perimeter from the main toolbar. This tool is used for linear takeoffs such as walls, piping, wiring, and similar objects. Select the Perimeter icon, click to set the starting point, then click each subsequent point around the object. Complete the measurement by clicking back into the starting point.

Area

Access by selecting Area from the main toolbar. This tool calculates total area for items such as floors, ceilings, roofs, and parking surfaces. Select the Area icon, click a starting point, and continue clicking around the boundary of the area. Finalize by clicking back into the starting point.

Volume

Access by selecting Volume from the main toolbar. This tool calculates volume for objects such as slabs or rooms. Depth defaults to zero and can be adjusted as needed. Select the Volume icon, click points around the object, and double-click to finish. Ensure the final click returns to the original starting point to complete the takeoff.

Freehand

Access by selecting Freehand from the main toolbar. This tool is used for irregular or curved objects such as curbs, border walls, and islands. Select the Freehand icon, click and hold at the starting point, trace the object’s shape, and release at the ending point.
