Submitting a bid for an Invitation to bid (ITB) through BidScope is designed to be fast, intuitive, and seamless. Follow the steps below to efficiently submit a proposal:
1. Open the ITB Project – Click the project title to access the ITB’s full detail page, where crucial information and resources are organized for easy review.
2. Review Project Details Thoroughly – On the details page, make sure to examine all key elements, including:
- Scope, Overview, and Location
- Important Dates—like bid deadlines and start timelines
- My Classifications – This section highlights the classifications that a company is listed under that match the project requirements.
This provides clear insight into the project and eligibility before proceeding.
3. Access and Utilize Project Files – Navigate to the Files tab to gather the documents needed for an accurate bid:
- Download the entire planroom with a single click, or explore folders to access individual files.
- Use the keyword search to quickly locate the exact documents needed.
4. Prepare and Submit the Bid – Once all required documents have been assembled and the proposal prepared:
- Click “Submit Bid” within the ITB interface.
- Complete any open fields and attach the proposal, ensuring all information is accurate.
- Confirm the bid and submit directly to the Blue Book general contractor who extended the invitation.
Following submission, the general contractor will typically make direct contact via email or phone. Proactive outreach using the contact information located in the top-left corner of the ITB page can support timely communication and demonstrate professionalism.
