Submitting a bid for a Reported Project is straightforward and efficient when using Bidscope. The process is largely similar to bidding on an ITB (Invitation to Bid) project, with a few key differences.
To begin, navigate to the “Details” section of the project page. This section contains essential information about the project, including scope, timelines, and other important specifications. Careful review of this information will help determine whether the project aligns with the company’s services and capabilities.
If the project is a good fit, proceed to the “Files” tab. This section contains all available project documentation needed to prepare an accurate and competitive proposal. Download and review these documents thoroughly.
The primary difference between ITB and reported projects lies in the bid submission process. For ITB projects, bids can typically be submitted directly through The Blue Book platform to the general contractor who issued the invitation. However, for reported projects, the “Submit Bid” option is not available.
Instead, the “Bidders/Players” tab should be accessed to identify key contacts involved with the project. This section provides a list of bidding general contractors (if currently listed) as well as property owner contact information.
At this stage, you have two options:
- Reach out to the listed general contractors to inquire where and how they are accepting bids.
- Contact the property owner directly to ask how bids should be submitted and whether they are currently accepting proposals.
Establishing direct communication with key stakeholders is a vital part of effectively leveraging Bidscope. Building strong relationships with general contractors and property owners not only facilitates bid submission but can also lead to future opportunities.
