Thanks to SmithGroup’s design, the Minneapolis offices of Bowman and Brooke LLP are not somber, ponderous, dark, heavy, or walnut-paneled. The law firm’s LEED-CI Certified space draws daylight into corridors and workspaces anchored by an open-riser stair.

The most immediate challenge Zimmer Gunsul Frasca (ZGF) Architects faced while deigning the EPA Headquarters in Denver was meeting the agency’s space requirements while following federal security protocols. The firm’s solution includes an 8th-floor green roof and a central atrium.
