Dodge Construction Outlook 2019

Here's just a bit of what happened at #DodgeOutlook19!

Things were kicked off with a video on the history of the Outlook Conference–this year was the 80th!

We then welcomed Dodge Data & Analytics CEO Mike Petrullo to the stage to start things off

Mike introduced our first keynote speaker, futurist and technologist Byron Reese, whose presentation focused on the effects of technology on humanity both throughout history and today.

Following Byron, Dr. Cristian deRitis of Moody's Analytics gave an overview of the U.S. economy in 2018 and 2019.

After Cristian, Dodge's Donna Laquidara-Carr led an excellent panel discussion on how the growing workforce shortage will impact the industry with Peter Ukstins of James G. Davis Construction Corp., Kenneth D. Simonson of the AGC, and Daniel Groves of Construction Industry Resources, LLC.

Next was Dodge Senior Economist Richard Branch who covered the outlook for Canadian construction.

For the next keynote, we welcomed former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino, whose presentation included everything from what it's like to be rejected by NASA three times to how to fix a stripped screw on the Hubble Space Telescope (just rip it off.)

Finally, Dodge Chief Economist, Robert Murray, took the stage in the main event to outline what 2019 (and beyond) holds in store for the construction industry.

Outlook 2019 was a resounding success, and if you'd like to get the full published report with all of its valuable insights, click below.
